Orchid Escape Exhibit

February 9 – March 16

Hundreds of exotic and unusual South American orchids will adorn AMAZONIA, Forest of Riches during Orchid Escape. There will be no additional charge for Zoo visitors to enjoy this beautiful exhibition.

This program is perfect for ages 5-12. Participants will learn about orchids, have fun creating a craft, and enjoy an orchid themed snack. The cost of this program for Zoo members is $10 or $15 for non-members.

Celebrate Earth Day with the Zoo by enjoying games and crafts, and learning conservation tips. Organizations from around the community will be taking part in this fun event. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Enjoy the perks of Zoo membership by receiving the first opportunity to select plants that will go on sale during Bloomin' Zoo Garden Festival. 5:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Summer Zoo Camp

Zoo Brew

Bring your dad to the Zoo on Father's Day and he will receive free admission!

Bowling for Rhinos

June 21

Support this event presented by the Association of American Zookeepers, taking place at River City Recreation. All money raised during Bowling for Rhinos will go directly to Rhino conservation.


Stroller & Wagon Parade

July 4

Bring the kids to the Zoo for some 4th of July fun! Decorate a wagon or stroller and enter it in the Zoo’s 4th of July Wagon and Stroller Parade! Registration at 9:30 a.m., parade begins at 10:00 a.m. Please call (812) 435-6143 ext. 409 with any questions.

Member Appreciation Evening

A special evening with behind the scenes tours, entertainment, and more for the Zoo's loyal members. 5-7 p.m.

ZooFari Wildfire

September 21

On the cool, Autumn evening of September 21st at 7:00 p.m. -Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden will present Zoofari-WildFire! An evening of art, wildlife, music and dining-as you stroll around the Zoo, you will enjoy the flames as they reflect on the water of Lake Victoria.

National Wolf Week

Learn more about our Mexican gray wolves and other wolves during this week of wolf appreciation

Military Day

November 10

Bring a veteran or active military personnel and they will receive FREE admission on this special day.

Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus

 

December 7 & 8

Enjoy a hot buffet breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Claus in the Rainforest Grill. Children will receive a treat bag and enjoy making a special holiday craft. Guests will also enjoy up close & personal animal visits in AMAZONIA. Don't forget your camera!
