The Zoo's Botanic Department has been busy preparing many rare and unusual plants for their annual garden festival.  This festival will take place from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2, 2010. A special Zoo Members Only Pre-Sale will be held Saturday from 8 - 9 a.m. Tropical bedding plants, unusual perennials, shrubs and trees, as well as bamboos and ornamental grasses will be available for purchase.
